Brest is one of France's historic ports, a sea city surrounded by eight communes where thousands of wonders are waiting for you.
Whether you’ve come for sightseeing, trekking or relaxation, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks to its proximity to the Atlantic ocean, Brest enjoys a rather mild marine west coast climate with moderate temperature changes.

MUSEE DE LA MARINE
Situated inside the castle, the museum is home to a superb collection of paintings, sculptures and model ships.
The collection of model ships of the Naval Museum has no equivalent. Devoted to the art of the royal arsenal’s carpenters, the collection on show in Brest retells the history of Richelieu’s arsenal and of the French fleet at the height of its power.
A great part of the naval history of France is recalled here with strength and emotion.
THE NATIONAL BOTANICAL RESERVE
More than 50,000 plant species around the world have been classified as endangered species. In order to save this biological heritage from the threats hanging upon it, Jean-Yves Lesouëf came up with this novel idea of a botanical reserve specialized in the preservation of endangered species.
The Botanical Reserve of Brest possesses one of the largest collection of endangered plants. Out of the 1700 species grown in its greenhouses or gardens, about 20 of them owe their survival to the Reserve.
