Rapatonadas: celebrating folktales, November 23rd to 28th, 2010
30th Folktales festival in Cantal.
The Rapaton, a little malicious devil from Auvergne folktales celebrates his 30th birthday. For this occasion, the Rapatonadas 2010 concretizes the transformation initiated in 2009. Apart from celebrating folktales, the festival also lauds oral works in general with various artistic forms: tales, songs, slam, theater, films ...
Representing Oc regions such as Béarn, Provence, Périgord and Pyrenees, it will also spotlight tales of more distant origins like Irish tales or writings from the British author Neil Gaiman.
Kid-friendly shows, aperitif-tales in pubs, SF night at the theater, musical animation ... A little something for everybody!
For its milestone, the opening show will be especially dedicated to the Rapaton. The nosy creature will visit a few local people who rarely see him: Allanche, Le Falgoux, Arpajon sur Cère, Naucelle, Mourjou, Polminhac ...
To welcome this famous character, a handful of little helpers bustle about preparing great moments of friendliness to discover, or re-discover, the Occitan culture associated with others.
