"The city of Nérac paid tribute to its son Yves Chaland through the Rencontres Chaland 2008, with a hearty welcome of its friends who discovered beautiful and authentic settings and gathered around the three tribute exhibitions.
This enthusiastic impulse strengthened my intentions to organize every year, in the city of Nérac, a friendly festival as a link between alternative arts: drawing, writing, music, cinema, architecture, ornamental arts…
The strong image of Yves Chaland, leader during la Ligne Claire times, establishes a strong connection between Nérac and the French and international comics worlds. " Isabelle Chaland
This third edition, that will take place on October 2nd and 3rd, will welcome Joost Swarte, the inventor, as guest of honor.
