Before the flight

The carrying of animals is not included in the baggage allowance and the number of available spaces is limited.

You must mention the presence of an animal when you make your booking. If you have already made your reservation on our website please contact our reservations team on 0825 808 228 (€0.15/min) to specify that an animal will be on board.

In the cabin

Animals accepted, after making the reservation:
  • Only dogs and cats under 6kg (including container)
  • guide dogs, regardless of their weight
Transport rules :
  • The animal must travel in a specific container (suitable box or bag) provided by the passenger and must comply with specific rules. The size of the container must not be larger than 115cm (46x24x28)
  • The passenger must present a vaccination certificate when checking in.
  • The container must be aired sufficiently, and be big enough for the animal to get up, turn round and breathe freely.
  • The animal must not leave the container for the duration of the flight in any circumstances.
Cost :

The single fare for an animal to travel in the cabin is €12 payable only at the airport before the journey.

In the hold

Accepted animals: Cats and dogs weighing more than 6kgs must travel in the hold (20kgs maximum).

Regulations The passenger must prepare the animal for the flight, complying with specific conditions:

  • The container provided by the passenger must be made of a fibreglass or rigid plastic 'shell' and have at least two locking systems on the door.
  • The size of the cage must not exceed 102x67x77cm, a size commonly referred to as cage No. 4
  • The cage must be big enough fro the animal to be able to turn around fully, stand and lie in a natural position.
  • The weight of the animal + cage must not exceed 75kg

Rules for its own well-being the animal may not travel in a non-compliant container.

Tip: To obtain a suitable container that complies with all given regulations, we recommend you to inquire in advance at your local pet shop and ask your vet for advice.

Price: The single fare for an animal to travel in the hold is €30, payable only at the airport before each journey.
